Cuentories is a home literacy program that helps Spanish speaking parents to be part of their child's literacy development. The program that I piloted last year involved using Sansa MP3 players to have my students record stories in Spanish and English for younger students to use at home.
The attached document explains in detail the steps that I took as well as the research that it is supported by. I am currently working on establishing the program in another district with a focus on using video MP3 players to display student digital stories and podcasts.
