New Book "Teaching Hope" is available today!

Aug. 18

Teaching Hope, Stories from the Freedom Writer Teachers and Erin Gruwell is available today! (The forward is by Anna Quindlen.)

It's an inspiring book about the human struggles teachers face every day and some of their most poignant teaching moments.

Check it out at www.amazon.com.

Also, ten years ago the Freedom Writers Foundation released "The Freedom Writers Diary, How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writinig to Change Themselves and the World Around Them". If you haven't read it, this is also an amazing book written from the perspective of 150 at-risk high school students. Very inspiring and a great example of the real life experiences that students face before they even get to the classroom. Real stories of determination, hope and perseverance.
