Using Audacity as an Revising/Editing Tool

I have always encouraged my students to read their compositions aloud to check for errors and then make corrections. A colleague suggested that I let the students record their work online using Audacity (a free program). The students can listen to their own voice reading the composition, make changes and re-record for playback.

This works great. Often, students are told to read their work but they don't do it. Using Audacity insures that they read it and it's fun too...
