I have found when I let the students take turns being the teacher, they develop a better understanding of the topic and gain a greater respect as a learner/audience. Sometimes it will be a topic that I choose, other times I let them choose the lesson. They really enjoy being the teacher for the day. Some classes may use it as a part of a reward system, or others as part of a regular activity.
