Just in case some of you don't subscribe to Footnote.com, or maybe you're debating about whether or not to subscribe to Ancestry vs. Footnote, I thought I'd let you all know that Footnote is not offering the full US Federal Census records. Yep, from 1790 forward. I haven't seen them, yet, so I can't say how easily searchable they are, but I am a member of BOTH sites so i'll check on it when it's all up and running with the 'bugs' worked out!

I am a member of both also and I read that Footnote was getting the census. So far, all I see that is completed is 1860 and 1930. I wonder if when they get all the census records subscribers are going to reconsider before subscribing to both Ancestry and Footnote in the future?

I see a lot of interesting possibilities for change in the genealogy world with all the deals that we DO know about like Legacy and some others getting ready to release their software that will be integrated with LDS's website and Ancestry.com's IPO...has that already happened...I just heard about it but never checked.

Hopefully, nothing will effect us little people too much!!
