If a student has wrong information, using the online resources to demonstrate correct information, and then defusing the situation using humor helps them release any embarrassment or attachment to the incorrect concept. Sometimes they laugh at me, sometimes we laugh together, but it engages emotion, stimulates the brain, and implants the information in a way they will be able to remember. The emotion creates an additional memory trigger to make it easier to retrieve the information later when they need it again.
