Edistorm is an online sticky note site with lots of powerful collaboration tools. Use it to brainstorm ideas, organize your thoughts and boil down your ideas to the most relevant points. Each sticky note has a comment feature which allows an online conversation to occur about each idea.

Use this is the classroom by having students work collaboratively on projects. For example, students can use Edistorm as their hub for a research paper. Instead of 3 x 5 cards, use sticky notes. Then the group can organize and vote on the ideas they want to keep. The results can de exported into an Excel file or PDF.

This appears to be a cool tool for online collaborative work and idea mapping. And it also appears to be easy to use and apply.

Thanks Reg,

Edistorm is an excellent tool for education. I'm not sure other features you have in the works but here are a few things that come to mind.

1. Have a way for teachers to create accounts for their students w/o email addresses. This would include a way to manages, add, delete students (i.e. CSV upload).

2. Include multimedia on stickies. In a way I like the purity of text only for brainstorming but it would be great to be able to add images and even YouTube videos. This would be a combination of Edistorm and Popplet.

Hi Mark,

We're looking at #1.

#2 is built and just in final testing. You'll be able to upload photos and embed videos.

Additionally we're building some pretty cool new templates. I'd be open to discuss with you some templates that would be particularly interesting in Education. I'll send you an email to connect with you.

I've just joined edistorm with the free educator account. Unfortunately, it will not let me export my storms and when I try it says I need to upgrade to a paid version. Shame, it looked really useful.
