Diet, ratio and proportion (virtual classroom tour)

Diet, ratio and proportion (virtual classroom tour)

Students learn about ratios and a healthy diet, and then use the internet, Microsoft® Excel® and graphing calculators to collect data. The students analyze their favorite foods and their school menus and make recommendations to the principal on some healthier foods to include on those menus. With this project, students learn to use technology to apply mathematics to real-life situations.
