Integrating health and physical education curriculum, students use heart-rate monitors, biofeedback machines, nutrition software and pedometers to learn about heart health and their own personal responses to nutrition and exercise. Students empower others to make healthy heart decisions by sharing their work at a community health fair.
"The health fair turned out to be one of the most positive experiences of this whole project... We want to design a curriculum that involves families more regularly in order to have a greater impact on the health of our larger community."
Hilary Lampard, Thorp School
